The series of digital prints «Gadgets» develops neo-pop art, turning technology into a fetish of mass consciousness. Smartphones, headphones, smartwatches, and tablets lose their functionality and appear as sleek icons of consumption. The author works with poster-like generalization: black contours, flat color fills, acid combinations of electric blue, fuchsia, and neon. The composition is devoid of depth, which brings the prints closer to advertising and interface. Seriality emphasizes reproducibility and simulation, while gloss becomes the main expressive means. A gadget here is not a helper, but a sign of connection and, at the same time, of alienation. This is an ironic hymn to the surface, where banality is elevated to an aesthetic norm, and digital printing creates a new mythology of the everyday.
