The series of digital prints «Morning in the City» continues my neo-pop art cycle, turning everyday life into a vivid spectacle. Instead of documentary quality — generalized poster-like images: silhouettes of buildings, objects, passersby. Reality is purged of details and subordinated to the rhythm of color. Acid-yellow and pink zones collide with black contours, creating a sense of cheerfulness and light absurdity. The compositions are flat, which makes them akin to advertising and comics. Morning here is not a time of day, but a media image. Seriality emphasizes the repetitiveness of urban rituals. The prints do not so much depict the city as construct its pop icon — noisy and seductive. This is an ironic hymn to urban everyday life, where banality becomes an aesthetic category, and digital printing becomes an instrument of a new mythology.
